XR Club at MSU

Workshop Director

The Extended Reality Club is a technical club aimed at promoting discussion about VR (virtual reality), AR (augment reality), and MR (mixed reality) technology. This is primarily done through meetings, workshops, and semester projects.
January 2024 - Present
  • Launched the new XR Club at MSU in March 2024
  • Created bi-weekly workshops for students to get hands-on experience with XR tools
  • Teamed up with a VR start up and the AI Club to create a educational VR game
  • Interacted with clubs nationwide to ideate new workshop topics

MSU Powerlifting Club

August 2023 - December 2024
The MSU Powerlifting club is an athletic/social club to assemble students interested in powerlifting ranging from amateurs to experienced competitors. The most popular competition federation for members is the USAPL (United States of America Power Lifting).
  • Joined to learn more about powerlifting and weightlifting
  • Regularly participated in meetings and social events to seek out coaching
  • Practiced daily with other members

MSU Crew Club

September 2022 - May 2023
The MSU Crew Club is a competitive athletic club for students interested in rowing. The club is organized as a team with coaches, equipment, and a boathouse. There are two competition seasons: the fall and spring with indoor winter training.
  • Practiced for 2 hours / day and weightlifted for 2 hours /day, 6 days / week
  • Competed weekly in regional regattas apart of the American Collegiate Rowing Association
  • Increased weight 145 lbs to 175 lbs by engaging in a rigorous diet provided by the team’s nutritionist to gain muscle mass

FIRST Robotics

World Champions

FIRST Robotics is a worldwide, youth robotics organization for 5th-12th grade students with 79,000+ teams. There are three distinct leagues with increasing technical difficultly: FLL, FTC, and FRC. The yearly competition revolves around a technical challenge for a robot to complete and the core values of FIRST. Awards consider both robot performance and how well a team embodies the core values.
  • Our Frog Force 503 team won the Chairman’s award at the 2021 Detroit World Championship, placing us in the Hall of Fame
  • We engaged in community outreach across the world to spread STEM education
  • Utilized computer vision to automate the aiming of the robot’s turret
  • Designed and manufactured the chassis of the robot

Boy Scouts of America

Eagle Scout and Senior Patrol Leader

The Boy Scouts of America is a youth organization focused on character development through outdoor activities, leadership training, and community service.
  • Earned Eagle Scout rank by planning, fundraising, and leading an Eagle Scout Project where I created a small park area outside the city civic center
  • Led the my troop as the Senior Patrol Leader for 2 terms through COVID-19
  • Organized weekly meetings and outdoors events for scouts
  • Coordinated food drives between Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and local food banks

Novi High School Track and Field

Track and Field is a sports team sponsored by Novi High School. It is a spring season sport based on individual performance where each athlete competes in running events and/or field events.
  • Became a varsity athlete competing in the 100M and 200M Dash
  • Led ~40 student athletes through warm-up, workouts, and competition
  • Motivated our team to achieve a 1st at the Regional Championship
  • Provided guidance and mentorship to teammates, helping them develop their skills and confidence
  • Fostered a positive team environment through effective communication

Novi High School Marching Band

Section Leader

June 2018 - October 2021
The Novi High School Marching Band competes in the Michigan Competing Band Association with a yearly season from June to October. The band must memorize a 10 minute show, which is performed at football games and competitions.
  • Led the Sousaphone Section by teaching music, marching technique, and drill routines
  • Motivated section members to energetically participate in practice and foster positive team spirit
  • Relayed information between director, drum majors, and the section to ensure coordination
  • Ensured preparedness by making sure everyone was on time, in uniform, and understood the schedule
  • Demonstrated strong time management by balancing daily practice with academic commitments
